Miles Masters was a British training and advanced fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by Miles Aircraft Ltd. in the 1930s and 1940s. It had a low-wing monoplane design and was powered by a 870hp Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, allowing it to reach a top speed of 315mph. The aircraft was used in World War II by the Royal Air Force as a fighter trainer and light attack aircraft. It was also used for aerobatic displays and as a fast civilian transport. A total of 550 Miles Masters were built. Today, a few examples of the aircraft are still flying and can be seen at airshows.
